Employees can use the SimplyHired HRIS to review and use their time off balances.
To request time off:
- Navigate to the Time Off feature
- Click the My Time Off tab to see the balances available for each time-off policy
- Click Request Time Off
- Use the calendar to select the day(s) you want to request off
- Use the dropdown menu to choose the policy balance you would like to apply to these hours. The available balance for each policy will be displayed to the right of the calendar (it will be displayed at the bottom of the page on mobile).
- Adjust the number of hours you are requesting for each day (8 is the default and maximum per day)
- Add an optional comment, like the reason you are taking this time, for your manager’s review
- Click Review Request
- A Time Off Request pop-up will display the number of time off conflicts. If there are conflicts, click the dropdown icon to see who else will be out. However, you can still submit your request if conflicts exist.
- Click Edit to change your request or Submit Request if you are satisfied
After submitting the request, a pop-up will notify you that the time off request has been submitted successfully. In the Time Off feature, your request will now be listed under Pending Time Off while it is awaiting review.
When your manager makes a decision, you will be notified by email. The time off request will then be moved to Reviewed Time Off and labeled as Approved or Denied.
